Technology

Our R&D department, through our genetic improvement programs, which are constantly updated on market trends, have the goal of providing solutions for each of the markets in which we operate.
We have a breeding pipeline that guarantees a catalog of competing varieties for the markets where our customers operate. This is beneficial because they can rely on us not only to maintain their presence in the market, but also because they have solutions in very competitive markets and in the face of volatile trends.
Marker-Assisted Selection complements our research, making the process easier and faster.

CGMMV Tech

CGMMV belongs to the Tobamovirus genus, which is characterized by being very stable viral particles that are very resistant to physical and chemical factors, so that they can remain active for a long time (even years) in an infected environment.
In cucumbers, a typical initial symptom occurs in young leaves of yellowing in the form of a star, which evolves into a light green mosaic, blisters and deformations; and in the fruits, deformations, spots or streaks can be observed. If the plants are small, the virus can cause a stoppage of their growth and in adult plants it causes wilting.
Six FL has varieties with CGMMV Tech that protects them against infection by this virus.

New Delhi Tech

SIX FL has cucumber varieties resistant to the tomato leaf curl virus from New Delhi

Rugose Tech

Six FL has tomato varieties (Solanum Lycopersicum) resistant to a full spectrum of Tobamoviruses, including TMV, ToMV, ToBRFV. We conducted the inheritance control study and concluded that this resistance is dominant, is more stable at high temperatures and has a higher level of resistance to Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus.

Blue leaf Tech

Varieties with more intense blue-green leaves, due to their higher percentage of chlorophyll, allow for vigorous foliage, which increases plant activity, improving resistance to pests and diseases and the ability to adapt to climate changes.
The productivity and health of the varieties is prolonged.
SIX FL offers all its cucumbers with Blue leaf Tech.

Rootstock Tech

Six FL has tomato varieties (Solanum Lycopersicum) resistant to a full spectrum of Tobamoviruses, including TMV, ToMV, ToBRFV. We conducted the inheritance control study and concluded that this resistance is dominant, is more stable at high temperatures and has a higher level of resistance to Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus.

Hybrid variety especially suitable for grafting cucumber, watermelon and melon. Selected for its resistance to all strains of the CGMMV virus, making it the only effective weapon in the fight against this virus.
It provides vigor and health to the crop throughout its vegetative cycle, which is why it is recommended for
transplants with unsuitable temperatures, in late autumn and winter, as well as in spring-summer.
Medium to large hypocotyl, easy and quick to graft, with excellent compatibility and affinity with different varieties on the market and good tolerance to seedling collapse.
It is recommended to plant the rootstock in a seedbed 7-9 days before the commercial cucumber variety for proper welding of the graft point.
Plants grafted onto this rootstock need on average 25% less water and therefore less fertilizer.
It increases productivity in critical periods of the crop cycle (periods of climatic or crop stress).
